SUP Paddleboard Group MegaSUP Craft Hire

SUP Paddleboard Group MegaSUP Craft Hire

1 hour hire of a Whitlingham Adventure Mega SUP

Booking is for 1x craft with a 4-6 person capacity (up to 4x with adults only, up to 6x where groups includes several under 12s)

A Mega SUP is a large multi-person paddleboard that requires teamwork to paddle, where paddlers are pre-teens without previous paddling experience, it is advisable an adult accompanies them to be 'captain'
This group capacity stand up paddleboard is ideal for those who to paddle together or are perhaps more nervous. Suitable for adults and children alike.
It is the ideal craft for those wishing to go paddle boarding as a family or for parents to go paddling with younger children.

Paddleboarding is 'typically' a wet watersport, the Mega SUP is high in the water and very stable when kneeling. However Whitlingham Adventure cannot control paddlers splashing each other whilst paddling, falling into the water whilst all paddlers are standing or not taking care when entering/exiting the boat.
A full change of clothes including footwear is advised

When checking in with staff everyone will be provided with centre buoyancy aids and helmets, receive a simple safety briefing and if required a introduction to craft and basic paddling.
- Suitable footwear that remains on your feet during swimming is advised
- Due to the nature of multiple excited  paddlers whilst in close proximity to each other on a MegaSUP, helmets are advised to avoid head injuries from neighbour's paddles.

  • Safety and rescue craft are on standby to assist those who may get into difficulty
  • Craft hire area may vary day to day depending on conditions, safety cover and other activities on the water.
  • Under 16s must be supervised by a nearby adult (it is advisable under 12s are accompanied on the activity)
  • Please be aware that paddleboarding is a wet sport and it is very likely at least your lower body will get damp or wet from paddling and splashing. A change of clothes to go home in (including footwear) is advised.
  • Changing rooms are available if required after session. But please arrive ready to go at session start.

Please contact the centre for further information - if you have a larger group  / dates or craft you require are not listed on calendar
