Adult Powerboat Novice - RYA Level 2 Powerboat Handling. (16yrs+)

This 2-day course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to become a competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. You will learn boat handling skills and seamanship in powerboats, focusing on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations.

The course is predominantly practical and can be taken at an inland or coastal location but as Whitlingham Adventure is a non-tidal inland venue, the coastal section will be covered in the classroom as theory. The certificate will be endorsed for planing craft.

On completion of the course, you will be a self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of the craft.

Working towards RYA Level 2 Powerboat Handling.

Prerequisite - None, however may be preceded by Level 1.
